The Final Push to Victory

-
This week, the Sacred Heart girl's basketball team will look to put the finishing touch on their season, with a state championship victory at the end of this week. The Lady Irish will do battle with Fruitport Calvary Christian at Big Rapids Crossroads.

The Lady Irish have battle hard all season, and they are on the verge of completing another State Championship season. 2014 was the last year in which the Lady Irisih were able to secure the State Title. Per an article in The Detroit News: Sacred Heart has played during the final week of the postseason the last five years, including a state championship in 2014, then losing to eventual state champion Pittsford at the Breslin Center in 2016.

Games are scheduled for the 15th & 17th of March, so buckle up and get ready for the final push to victory! Go Irish!

Courtesy of breakingfourth.com With all of the success the Sacred Heart Irish are experiencing on the hardwood, it's hard to imagine that any Sacred Heart Program can compare in terms of skill or success. But at Sacred Heart, high personal, academic, and athletic standards are not reserved for an exceptional few, they are standards that are upheld day in and day out by many. Nowhere is this dedication to excellence more evident than the Sacred Heart Irish Track & Field Teams. Both squads are coming off of campaigns that wrought Division 4 State Championships. Some may call it, "The Luck of the Irish," but with all of the wins Sacred Heart is racking up on the hardwood and track (just to name two high achieving programs) one cannot help but think that these Irish win their competitions the old-fashioned way. Hard work, dedication, discipline, perseverance, grit. As the Lady Irish are reminiscent of Michael Jordan and his Bulls, the Irish Track-stars can also...

Picture Credits  The Lady Irish have been a hot topic on our blog, but who isn’t talking about them? Some may ask if it truly is, ‘The Luck of the Irish,” but we all know that it is the hard work of this team that has them sitting at a 19-0 record. Last night the Irish played at Beaverton. They brought home the win with the score of 57-43 . Beaverton was a non-conference game. Now, the next question is who has to face this stellar, hot streak team? Breckenridge will be headed to Mt. Pleasant tomorrow for a game time starting at 7:30pm. ALERT … HOME GAME … TOMORROW!! This win streak will hopefully hold up to the Breckenridge Huskies who are coming into the game with a 4-14 record. The Huskies will be looking to cause trouble for our Lady Irish, so come out and support your team! Nothing better to do on a Thursday night then watch some basketball at home! Don’t miss the action and as always, keep us updated on your experiences, thoughts, and comments! ...
